BMW won’t release the E92 M3 CSL... for now.

As reported August 27 on several sites, BMW cancelled plans for a new M3 edition of the Lightweight model "CSL". Car Magazine quoted BMW M executive Ludwig Willisch saying that "based on current numbers, there is most likely insufficient demand for the M3 CSL."

However, this may not entirely rule out a future CSL edition, but not before the sales numbers for the coupe, convertible and sedan would drop.
