Lotus has supercharged Evora with 350bhp in the works

The Lotus Evora with 276 naturally aspirated bhp is about to get a more powerful brother.

A supercharged 350bhp version is on the way, reports Autocar. While the base model with 276bhp is on target for the projected launch this coming May, the Evora SC is not expected to hit the scene before 2011.

With the SC version, acceleration performance is likely to climb from 5.5 to at least 5.0 seconds for the 0-60 mph sprint and top speed is estimated to improve from 160 to 175 mph. As a consequence, the price is also expected to noticeably "climb", by approximately £10K to £15K, from £45,000 to £55,000 or perhaps even £60,000. More images after the jump...
